Ty Wivell-Chair, Mother Lode Bank An economically competitive county needs a strong public school system to educate its children and develop the skills of its future workforce. Our Education Committee implements educational programs on behalf of the business community. The goal of these programs is to have a meaningful impact on the quality of education in our county, while considering the business sector's needs and concerns.
The committee has identified workforce development as one of its primary commitments. Other goals are to: - make Chamber member resources available to the schools; - educate students about the opportunities available with Tuolumne County employers; - educate students about post secondary educational opportunities that can lead to successful, rewarding careers other than the traditional 4-year college programs; - be a positive voice for the business community in the schools; - and help ensure a skilled, educated workforce for the future.
